Moore served as secretary-treasurer of the KFTCA, as a director for Region 17 of the American Field Trial Clubs Association (AFTCA) and as secretary-treasurer of the Kansas Championship Association. Moore hosts a nationally recognized prairie all age championship field trial every autumn for 20+ years on the Kimbell Ranch, west of Yates Center and currently on the Hell Creek WMA, Blue Mountain, MS. The newly formed Kansas Field Trial Hall of Fame inducted 5 people (Don Beauchamp, Wayne Powers, Marvin, McDowell, Larry Samuelson and CW Bud Moore) and 5 dogs in its first year. CW Bud Moore has been raising and campaigning championship pointing dogs for over 50 years.He was inducted into the 2007 inaugural class of the Kansas Field Trial Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 14, 2007 in Olathe in front of a crowd of 106 fellow field trialers, friends and family from across the Midwest.
Also in 2007, Iza Mountain Bell, English pointer, owned and handled by Moore won the Kansas Field Trial Clubs Association (KFTCA) award for Kansas Shooting Dog Derby of the Year.
